How to make sure that your employer pays contributions to the Pension Fund

Amount of deductions

Currently, all citizens remit taxes to the Pension Fund in the amount of 22% of earnings. The employer handles this money. These include:

  • 16 percent – insurance component;
  • 6 percent is the funded portion, which a citizen can dispose of at his own discretion.

For organizations operating under a simplified procedure, this percentage is lower and amounts to 20. Transfers are made not only by legal entities, but also by individual entrepreneurs. For employees working in hazardous conditions, the insurance premium is higher, its maximum level reaches 4%.

When and why to check

A citizen who wants to stop working due to reaching retirement age, illness, or the birth of a child counts on receiving government benefits. The amount of payments is formed taking into account the insurance period - the total amount of funds transferred to the funds. Since contributions are not deducted from an employee's salary, their absence is an illegal way for an employer to save money that harms subordinates.

The frequency of required checks depends on the established payment terms. You can transfer money to funds monthly or annually. In the first case, funds must be transferred before the 15th day of the month following the reporting month, and for some funds this procedure is mandatory, in the second - before December 31. In accordance with these deadlines, it is recommended to check the availability of payments at least once a month. An exception should be made for the first 30 days of employment with an employer.

Note! The verification period should not exceed 3 months. After this period has expired from the moment of the incident, the citizen loses the opportunity to go to court.

To use the services of this organization, you must log into your account. To do this, go through the registration procedure, indicating personal data. Having received the password using any of the available methods, you can go to the account where you fill out the remaining data.

To find out what contributions are being made to the pension fund, find and then “Notice on the status of the account.” The request will only take a few minutes, after which the requested data will be provided. However, this will be possible if the account is verified:

  • via mail;
  • customer service;
  • electronic signature.

Obtaining information from a non-state pension fund

The main feature of your relationship with any non-state pension fund will be that all payments that you send are made exclusively on a voluntary basis.

There are two options for relationships with non-state pension funds:

  • transfer to a non-state pension fund of the right to manage your mandatory pension savings;
  • implementation of additional pension insurance.

Whichever of these options you choose, an appropriate contract must be concluded between you and the non-state pension fund.

In the first case, you must conclude a contract with a non-state pension fund personally. After your pension savings are transferred to the management of a non-state pension fund, investment income will begin to accrue on them.

You can terminate this contract at any time at your discretion. After this, all funds managed by the non-state pension fund, including the resulting investment income, are returned to the Pension Fund of Russia. We would like to emphasize separately that funds held in the Russian Pension Fund are currently not subject to indexation.

In the second case, a contract with a non-state pension fund can be drawn up either by you personally or by your employer.

By using this option, after reaching retirement age you will receive an additional payment to your basic pension. At the same time, it can be carried out either over a predetermined time period or for life.

As in the first case, you can terminate this contract at any time. In this case, all funds that were in the accounts of the non-state pension fund at the time of its termination, as well as the investment income accrued to them, will be returned to you personally.

In addition, these savings will be included in the inheritance mass in the event of your death. Note that for citizens who were born before 1967, there is one restriction. The funded part of the pension is not provided for them.

To find out how much money has been received by a non-state pension fund, contact it directly with this question. Have your identification document with you, as well as SNILS.

In addition, since most non-state pension funds have their own official websites, you can go to them, go through a simple registration and get all the necessary information in your personal account.

You can also request information about how much money was transferred to the non-state pension fund from the accounting department of the enterprise where you work, or from the territorial branch of the Russian Pension Fund.

PFR website

Another way to check the transferred amounts of money is to log into the official website of the fund. The account can be accessed automatically when registering on the State Services electronic portal. Then select the section “Ministry of Health and Social Development”, and then the sub-item “Information on the status of individual accounts”. Here you can find out how much money was transferred by receiving data in expanded form or in regular format.

In the last version, data on the amounts of insurance components by year will be indicated at the bottom, and the final data will be indicated at the end.

Is it possible to find out how to transfer funds?

In the modern world, a new type of fraud associated with the erroneous transfer of money is beginning to gain momentum. The client receives an SMS message on the card about the supposedly completed transfer, then a fraudster gets in touch and asks to transfer the erroneous payment to another account, after which the erroneous credit will be cancelled.

Sberbank cares about its clients, so it is constantly improving its security system. However, the client must be able to correctly determine the transfer method and the sender of the mystery amount.

Remember, Sberbank never sends messages to its clients about crediting money from unfamiliar numbers. They have only one phone number from which messages can be received - “900”.

A money transfer can be made in one of the possible ways:

  • from a private person using a personal account or mobile application;
  • from an individual through self-service terminals and ATMs, as well as through a bank cash desk;
  • from an organization (legal entity) by transfer from a current account.

If the transfer was made by an individual through a personal account or mobile bank, then everything is simple. The client will receive an SMS message on his mobile phone, which will indicate the transfer amount, as well as the sender’s name and patronymic. The last name is not indicated in full, only the first letter will be known.

Example of an SMS message:

“Sergey Petrovich G. transferred you 500.00RUB.”

In other cases, it will be more difficult to find out the sender’s details, since when transferring through an ATM, only the number of the personal account from which the transfer was made will be indicated. Here is your full name. not specified.

When making a transfer from a legal entity or organization, only the purpose of the payment will be indicated - salary, allowance, pension, etc. In other words, the source of the transfer will be known only if the sender is a government agency or the employing company.

Banks

The pension amounts that employers must transfer are kept by credit institutions. Today the Pension Fund has agreements with the largest banking organizations in the country.

Most often this request is made to Sberbank, since it has the most branches throughout Russia. Here you will need the same documents as in previous cases. An employee of the banking organization will register the data and then open access to your personal account. This is where requests are sent to obtain information about what amounts are received from the employer.

What to do if taxes have not been paid

Further actions depend on the capabilities and desires of the citizen. The easiest way would be to contact the employer and explain the situation. This does not guarantee achievement of results, but it will help maintain relationships with management. Legal, but more problematic methods are appeals to authorities.

Tax office

The government agency will be able to assist the employee in exercising his legal rights. To appeal, you must submit a complaint in writing or electronically. When choosing a tax office, it is necessary to base it on the location of the organization; it must be located on the site entrusted to the office.

The format of the complaint is not regulated by law. The employee indicates:

  • full name of the organization;
  • position held;
  • address and details of the tax office;
  • recorded violations;
  • Personal Information;
  • desired measures.

Anonymous complaints will not be considered, but requests for confidentiality will be accepted.

The method has a number of advantages and disadvantages. The complaint may not be based on evidence; witness testimony is sufficient. The lack of documentary evidence does not provide confidence in achieving the goal. If an unscheduled inspection of the organization does not find any violations, the employee who applied will waste his time in vain.

Labour Inspectorate

The procedure is similar to the tax case. But when contacting the labor inspectorate, the employee will need to provide evidence. An unfounded complaint will not be considered.

You can submit your application in person at the office or electronically. The citizen indicates personal data, the name of the organization, the reasons for the complaint and confirmation of his words. The fact of providing evidence does not guarantee that the request will be satisfied. The inspectorate may consider the arguments insufficient or make a decision that is inappropriate for the employee.

Prosecutor's office

You can contact the prosecutor's office with a single or collective complaint from employees. The document should be submitted to the department responsible for the area where the organization is located.

The header of the application states:

  • name of the prosecutor's office;
  • personal data of the submitter;
  • optional contact phone number, email address.

After the inscription “statement”, the employee lists the reasons for the complaint against the organization. Violations must be supported by evidence and references to the laws of the Russian Federation. At the end, the citizen indicates a list of papers attached to the document. The employee lists the requirements for the prosecutor's office, the desire to stop violations, compensate for damage, and interrupt the work of the organization. You can leave a request for anonymity in your complaint.

Federal Tax Service

Important! If a citizen’s SNILS is unknown, then you can find out all the information if you make a corresponding request on the official tax website. There, first select “Business Risks”, and then search by TIN. After entering the number and numbers, you need to click on the “find” button and study the received data.

In addition, if you don’t know your SNILS number, we can find it on the Pension Fund website. The only thing is that you first need to click on the region code. For Moscow, for example, it is 087. Then click on “Forgot Pension Fund Number” and indicate the TIN. As a result, a twelve-digit number will be displayed.

“Payment to”: what does this inscription mean?

Often the sender of the transfer indicates Payment to in the SMS message . Not all owners of a payment instrument know what this inscription means.

From English, this phrase literally sounds like “Payment of the day” . In other words, we can say that this inscription means the very fact of transferring funds.

This message indicates money transfers made by a budget organization or legal entity, for example, the transfer of wages, the transfer of benefits, pensions, etc.

Such a transfer is made to a bank account linked to the card, so it will be quite difficult to find out the source of the shipment.

In conclusion, I would like to note that the card owner has several options in order to find out information about the sender of the transfer. The easiest way to obtain information is if the money was sent by an individual through Sberbank Online or a mobile application. The sender's first and middle name will be indicated here. If the money was transferred using current account details or by a legal entity, it will be more difficult to find out the source.
